Mangalagiri

A crimson kurti woven on the handloom in the Sambalpuri tradition, patterned through Bandhakala, the tie-dye art where the yarn is resist-dyed before weaving so the motif appears softly along both faces of the cloth. Vertical bands of diamond and arrow figures run down the front, set off by a plain round neck and three-quarter sleeves. In pure cotton coloured with natural dyes, it stays cool and easy through the day and settles into a comfortable everyday piece you will reach for often.
